Editorial Process

Step 1: Submission
Once your chapter has been submitted by the corresponding author, it will be assigned to the lead textbook editor. The lead editor for your textbook will review the content of the chapter as well as obtain feedback from the editorial team.

Step 2: Initial Content Editing
Once a decision has been made as to if any updates or changes are required the corresponding author of the chapter will receive an email noting any feedback and requested changes. Once these requests have been obtained you will be able to submit updated documentation to the system. Please highlight in yellow any changes you have made to the document so that the editor can determine what has changes since the original submission.

Step 3: Ongoing Content Editing
The editing process will continue until the chapter is complete. 

Step 4: Final Copy Editing
The lead editor for the textbook your have submitted a chapter to, will then finalize grammatical editing and confirm images, figures, illustrations, and tables are in place and have appropropriate permissions. The author will then confirm final approval of the chapter. 

Step 5: Production
Once the chapter content has been finalized it will then be placed into a final proof of the chapter according to the final textbook style. This will then be provided to the authors to confirm prior to publication.
